Ethiopia is among the top five recipients of U.S. aid, receiving annually over 500 million dollars, much of which is military support. Currently our tax dollars to Ethiopia fund regional destabilization, widespread human rights abuses, and mass atrocities committed by the Ethiopian government. The U.S. Congress is pressing for change. A bill, H.R. 2003, was passed by the House of Representatives in October to tie future U.S. aid to democratic reforms and encourage a stable, secure and economically viable future for this jeopardized region. Request a Senate Hearing on the Ethiopian Ogaden Crisis
