Voter Mobilization

In line with EACA’s mission to contribute to the empowerment of Ethiopians and Ethiopian-Americans to make a change for Ethiopia’s future, we will seek to encourage as many Ethiopian-Americans as possible to exercise their civic right and vote in the upcoming national elections in the U.S. With our strength in numbers and if we actively participate in the political process as is the due every American citizen, we can have a powerful impact on America’s stance toward Ethiopia, and affect greater attention to the emergence of a stable democracy in our country of origin.

HR 2003

EACA is working with various civic organizations to bring HR 2003 to the House floor for a vote. HR 2003 cannot pass unless each and everyone of us takes ownership in contacting Congressmen/women in your districts and educating them on the deplorable political conditions under which millions of Ethiopians live, which invariably translates to the poor economic conditions Ethiopians suffer.
